Honesty

And then there was John Oliver.  Following Steven Colbert and John Stewart.  Lashing out brilliantly at the caddy lies of billionaires and media divas.  Watching the shocking truth through hilarity sparks a scary dichotomy of fervor and its antithesis, apathy.  These comedians heat crowds while simultaneously giving them a way to cope with it: jokes.

They are inspiring.  They are hilarous.  They are relatable.  At their zenith, they are seemingly genuine.  I’m a believer in their honesty.  I cling to their humble self perceptions while they update me on my version of news through well researched facts and dry wit.  Respect.
